Jasper - English Cocker Spaniel

Here’s a sketch of Jasper, an english cocker spaniel, lying on the floor looking up at us, probably hoping for a walk or maybe hoping we’ll open a tin for him.
I painted him in acrylics on canvas, trying to get the reflection in that beautiful wooden floor and the blue highlights in his fur.
In this close up of the canvas you can see his beautiful eyes. He is a very handsome dog. I think I would open that tin!

My ex-girlfriend used to have a CS named Jasper, you have truely captured the beauty of that dog, I miss playing fetch with the little fella.
