Isn’t she beautiful? This is a 16×12 oil painting of the lovely Bastion Babe and it was a real joy to paint! This was a commission for her owners.

She looks so beautiful fast asleep on the sofa. Her coat is full of rich colour and her muzzle shines with blue highlights. She’s a beautiful Bullmastiff girl.

Indy is a lively boxer who loves to run around on the beach. This was a commissioned painting of her, it’s acrylic on paper.

Zipper is a Weimaraner dog who lives with Laura and Bill. Here he is curled up in the bed where he’s not supposed to be! Looks comfy doesn’t he?

Bella is a bright and beautiful Tibetan Terrier bitch enjoying a spring day playing in a field of flowers. I wanted to try and get a sense of her lively personality in this painting. I started with a pen and ink sketch.

She was painted in acrylics and gouache on William Turner watercolour paper. I included lots of subtle colours in her coat and brought out her eyes, which otherwise were hidden in shadows.
